Recently, media revealed that huawei is developing two flagship kirin 1020 chips and mainstream kirin 820 chips.

According to the report, the kirin 1020 is built based on 5nm, with the big core of Cortex A77, new architecture and new technology. The performance is nearly 50% higher than kirin 990 5G, and only the 5G integrated baseband SoC version is available. The kirin 820 is also integrated with 5G baseband and is expected to debut on the nova7 and glory 10X.

The yield rate of TSMC 5nm has been improving and has reached 50%. It is expected to be mass produced in the first quarter of next year at the earliest.
